Kahia and Benjamin – Journey Through Time

This EP is a collaboration between Kahia (Finn Kahia Goldie) and Benjamin (Benjamin Alexander Lindh Medin). It explores the topic of nature and its vast importance in this new world dominated by technology. The importance of staying in, or seeking again, connection with nature and the ancient world, which we seem to be losing as time passes on. This piece is highly reflective, emotional, relatable and vulnerable.

It brings the listener on a Journey Through Time, echoing the sounds of nature and being inspired by the surroundings of each location in the creation of these tracks.

It was recorded primarily in nature, which is how the core songs were formed, with occasional overdubs in the studio. We hope you can feel the connection with us and nature through these songs and this beautiful EP.

Kahia – High Tide, Low Tide

A personal journey of introspection, High Tide, Low Tide marks Kahia’s debut project. It is primarily an Indie Folk, singer-songwriter album with further influences of electronica. The concept of the album describes likening emotions, feelings and thoughts to the movement of the tides, as they are ever changing. The aim is to find balance and peace through the knowledge of this, to find an equilibrium, a safe place with maximum stillness and serenity.

Sonically, the idea was to give the album a lo-fi aesthetic reminiscent of artists like Nick Drake and The Microphones. The album should be an authentic expression. That explains why much of it is kept raw, exposed and dry. It is full of emotion, energy and effort. It reflects many different states of mind that all come together to make the album.
